United Krav Maga Association and Combatives1

Krav Maga is the Israeli Defense forces' most practical and real-world self-defense discipline. UKMA is committed to training men, women, law enforcement, and the military in the latest self-defense techniques and applications to protect themselves, family, and their teams and return home to their loved ones.

All certified instructors must attend our training events throughout the year to keep up with the latest self-defense tactics ranging from hand to hand and weapons (Blunt, Edged, and Firearm). 

Our Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu curriculum is the most comprehensive, which starts at an earlier stage in training to give the individual more practical experience when the situation goes to the ground.

Our tactical shooting courses cover the most fundamental and progress to the most advanced shooting. Law-enforcement tactical teams and the special operation community mainly cover our tactical shooting program. 

Our certification and selection process is second to none. We are highly selective in who we bring on to represent UKMA. 

About

United Krav Maga Association (UKMA) was founded in 2018 by Ivan Rios, IL Nam Yang, and Bob Zacharias.

After extensive training in many different Martial Arts and Disciplines, law enforcement tactical teams, and military maritime special operations, which spans collectively over 100 years, the founders wanted a more simplistic and practical approach to self-defense for the average citizen, law enforcement officer, and military personnel. 

In this day and age, time is of the essence in training to protect you, your family, and your team.

In 2023, the founders established Combatives1 as an integral part of UKMA. Combatives1 combines Krav Maga, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Boxing, and Tactical Shooting. 

The founders continue to evolve and progress in self-defense to provide the most realistic combatives program.
